# Overview

Points are earned on a seasonal basis, and at the end of each Season they determine how much EL from the buyback pool is distributed to each participant.

* Users can earn EL Points through the following activities:
  * Staking ELUSD and holding sELUSD
  * Holding ELUSD in a wallet (without staking)
  * Referral activity (inviting new users)
* At the end of each Season, EL tokens bought back by the protocol are distributed to users in proportion to their EL Points for that Season.
